The Kingston Bridge Repair
A few weeks ago we asked for prayer for the repair of the Kingston Bridge, the main bridge that collapsed near the Ukarumpa Center. Great news – it has been repaired!! The last time a major bridge went out in the area, it took about a year to repair. Due to prayer and lots of hard work, the Kingston Bridge has become functional in only 5 weeks!! There is still some work to be done, but praise God, the route between Kainantu and Ukarumpa is passable so food and fuel can be received. (Pictures below)

The Kingston Bridge prior to the collapse. Built in the 40s or 50s.

Aug 6 - The bridge collapsed as a truck carrying fuel was crossing. The driver is recovering well. No others were injured.

Progress on the new bridge moving swiftly!

Sept. 9 - The bridge is passable by 4x4 vehicle!
